People have been trying to reach out to each other in our friendly village. I have noticed the rainbows in windows but also messages painted on stones placed on seats, walls, verges and driveways as I walk around getting exercise. I took photos of some of them using my iPhone and then connected them in Photoshop.

A pair of 4 week old ducklings, enjoying close connection as the only survivors from a brood of 14. Nature is in balance! Seen on our daily walk along the river Skell near our flat in Ripon.

For me these two Scandinavian glass heads create a sense of loneliness - would love to be free to connect in reality

Every stitch in bobbin lace is made by twisting 4 threads together, wrapping them round a pin, and retwisting the 4 threads to complete the stitch. If the threads do not connect in this way the pattern does not develop as expected.

Even though we mostly now have underground cables, this is how we used to connect.

A view from one of our windows. Our neighbours are ready to start Phase 2 of their home improvements. All metal and wood is now safe and secure.

This is the window of my local GP surgery. I think the message is, "Connect with love".

I used a wide angle lens to capture this image where the buoys connect to each other via the rope along the beach.

I connect to harp strings with my fingers and the strings connect to pegs hopefully making a lovely sound
