u3a Day Blog 2021

Guildford u3a had a table at a local park where people could come and paint pebbles to celebrate u3a day.

Teignmouth u3a did 21 walks in the lead up to u3a day as a way to celebrate and raise awareness for u3a day. They finished with the sea swimming group in yellow caps on u3a day itself.

East Renfrewshire u3a were out and about in three of their local areas to celebrate u3a Day and tell everyone about u3a. They also had a patchwork made up of knitted u3a squares created by one of their members. 

Enfield u3a had a publicity stand at Palace Gardens Shopping centre in Enfield.

Leigh and District u3a members litter picked and also had a stall at the Spinning Gate shop centre in Leigh.

Upholland and District u3a yarn bombed bollards. They also had a stall outside the Co-op Co-op in Upholland and another outside the historic church of St Thomas the Martyr in Upholland. As well as the two stalls, there were also “historic tours” of the village.

Wigan u3a had a day full of taster sessions - including their urban sketching, photography, crown green bowling and ukelele groups.

Brunswick, West Hove and Portslade u3a are out litter picking in their u3a high vis jackets.
