Over 5,000 trees are being planted in our 40th Anniversary u3a wood thanks to members who broke through the movement's target in just three months
Our goal was to plant 5,000 trees by the end of this year - but once the planting season got underway last November it took members just three months to exceed the target - part of the u3a movement's contribution to nature and the environment.
Carol of Ravenshead u3a, organised the donation of 10 trees, and says "I realised that a donation to the wood was a unique opportunity to commemorate the ten years of Ravenshead u3a."
The trees are being planted in the planting season between November 2021 - March 2022 in a dedicated area in the Brecon Beacons National Park.
