Learn Something Brilliant Today
The u3a movement has released their latest film, Meet Lynn, which is the first of a new series showcasing the learning going on across the movement every day.
Swansea u3a’s Welsh Conversation group is the focus of the film – and especially member Lynn, who talks about how the group has enabled her to speak to her family in the Welsh language.
She says, “I’ve wanted to learn Welsh for quite a long time. My daughter’s family - she married someone who is first language Welsh and their daughters go to a bilingual school as well. So my grandchildren are Welsh.
“It is nice to talk to our granddaughters in the Welsh language. And also both of them are always in concerts and it’s nice to be able to go to the event and understand what’s going on and be able to talk to their friends in Welsh.”
Meet Lynn is the first in a new series of films, Learn Something Brilliant Today, each of which will focus on a u3a member’s experience of learning something new with u3a.
