The 40th Anniversary Quilt, made by u3a members across the movement, is now displayed at the Witney Blanket Hall, where it will stay for a year
The 40th Anniversary Quilt is now displayed at The Blanket Hall in Witney where members of the public can now see it in person.
The quilt is made up of 40 blocks, created by u3a members and interest groups. It is a celebration of positive ageing, community and skill sharing and marks 40 years of the u3a movement.
An event at Witney Blanket Hall welcomed the quilt to its new location, with talks by members who contributed to the quilt, the Chief Executive Sam Mauger, and the Director of the Blanket Hall, Richard Martin.
The quilt was first revealed in Manchester earlier this year, after a countdown on social media revealing each winning quilt block.
The Witney Blanket Hall is open from Wednesday to Saturday each week. Booking is advised for larger groups to avoid disappointment. Find out more on their website.
