A position has opened up on the Board of Trustees for the role of Vice Chair. This is a really exciting opportunity to get involved and help shape the future of the u3a movement.
Nominations are open now, and will close on Thursday 10 July.
You don't need loads of committee experience to be a great Vice Chair - a willingness to learn, the ability to work well in a team, and a drive to help the u3a movement thrive are the main requirements.
The Vice Chair will support the Chair, help drive forward the strategy, act as a sounding board, and deputise for the Chair when needed. If the position is contested, the nominees will be put forward to a Nominations Committee to recommend a candidate, and all u3as across the UK will be invited to vote in an election in August.
On Monday 16 June, we're hosting an online briefing session about the role. Come along if you're interested in applying and have any questions or would like to know more.
To apply for the Vice Chair position, you can find the full role description and nomination form on the Elections page of the website.
