'Royal Corgi' by Susan Shaw, Hawkwell Village u3a

'The last Nizam of Hyderabad surrounded by his courtiers' by Laurie Hussain, Banbury u3a

Inspired by Knutsford Royal May Day celebrations.

'Crowns' by Liisa Brown, Stroud u3a
I used my previous flowery painting as a background, and by using a digital drawing tool changed it to black and white, and then added the Platinum Jubilee colours and texts over it. I thought that the shapes of the flowers look a bit like crowns!

'Queen Bee' by Carole Mindham, Hale & District u3a

Nobody more Royal than the KING of Rock n Roll. In charcoal and pencil. Will always be the KING.

'Windsor Castle' by Robert Cato, Luton u3a
This is my painting of Windsor Castle from a different angle.

'The Queen' by Elaine Adams, Northallerton u3a
I thought that this was a very happy pose of the Queen and wanted to use watercolours to bring out her best features and give her a softer look.

'Red, white and blue' by Marian Lewis, West Herts u3a
My red white and blue done in acrylics with a piece of kitchen roll swipe.

'God Bless the Queen' by Anona Hermes, Doncaster u3a
The inspiration of this watercolour painting of the Queen, albeit not a great likeness, was to celebrate her extraordinary reign and her Platinum Jubilee year. She has travelled more widely than any other monarch. I admire her sense of duty and her devotion to a life of service over many years of social change. Her patronage to several hundred charities is astonishing. She reminds me of what is important in life and I am proud of all she has achieved over her long reign.

'The Kings of Jazz - Red Hot Music' by Dennis Parkinson, Northallerton u3a
Red marker pen on sketching paper

'Strata Florida or Ystrad Fflur' by Jacky Fantom, Marble u3a
