This group meets to discuss a whole range of gardening topics, for example:

  • Identification of unusual plants
  • right plant right place
  • composting
  • organic gardening
  • container gardening
  • vegetable gardening
  • successes/failures and reasons for each
  • advice to and from members
  • what they are doing now
  • problem-solving
  • pictures of their garden
  • video walk-abouts in their garden
  • gardens they have visited

     A few topics are chosen in advance for each meeting, and everyone will be free to contribute.

You can join this group, or the waiting list, via the Beacon Members Portal. To join a group you must first subscribe to Interest Groups Online. This is separate to a local u3a membership.
