The new Guidance documents are now in place on the website.  There is a Guidance for Group Leaders and Guidance for members.  Some of the material is common to both.  Please read them carefully and let us know if there is anything else you think they should cover. We will publicise the Guidance for Members in the next News Extra.  You might also want to point members to this if behavioural issues arise in your group.

I’ve extended most of these until the end of December 2025, with a few extended only until the end of June 2025 (there are technical reasons for this!).  I’ve generated a Google calendar from 1^st December 2024 up to the end of June 2025 which should show all the bookings.  This is attached as a PDF file, but I have blanked out the second half of the booking URL for security reasons.  If you use a Zoom account, can you please check that all your bookings are in place here, and let me know if they are not.  Their absence does not necessarily mean they have not been booked, but I will check, and update the booking if necessary, and/or add to the calendar.

I’m also attaching, as usual, the generic IGO Zoom accounts generic calendar where you can see what slots are free if you want to change a meeting or meetings or set up Zoom meetings for a new group.

Please have a look at your group page(s) on the website, and let us know if you would like it to be changed – use the Group Description form to do this.  Note that if you change your group information on Beacon, that does not automatically change in your group web-page – you need to let us know if you want changes on the webpage.

If your page does not have an image, please send us one – make sure it is not copyright protected.

The Beacon group details page has a space for a contact details for the group.  Where this was blank, I have added the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  email address, and any messages about group matters will be forwarded to the group leaders(s).  Remember that If you reply to an email, your email address will be visible to the recipient. If you would prefer to keep your personal email private, you can avoid this setting up a new email account specifically for IGO communications, using one of the many free mail applications (Gmail, outlook, yahoo, etc.) Then, of course, you will need to use this email address for your IGO Beacon account. 

The December Beacon calendar of group meetings, as seen from the Members Portal, is attached.  Note that meetings do not appear here automatically – they will only be listed here if they have been added to the Schedule on Beacon. I update these from time to time but it would be helpful if group leaders did this themselves.
