Spreading my Wings
This shot of a Curlew was taken on the saltmarsh around Two Tree Island in Essex. At high spring tides, there are sometimes over fifty of these magnificent birds, our largest wader, competing for resting places as the water rises. On likely days, I just park myself on a convenient bench -- and wait.. Sometimes, I get lucky.
